Proudly ๐ฆ๐บ Australian
Two brothers from a suburb of Adelaide. One who took things apart to understand them. One who asked questions that had no clear answers. Both connected โ in ways neither of them fully chose โ to something that spans 4,500 years of human history.
The Voice
Born 28 June 1984 ยท Adelaide, South Australia
Nathan was the one who stared out windows during lessons, whose essays occasionally sparked with genuine insight then meandered into unexpected territory, who consumed science fiction by torchlight after bedtime and asked why the sky changed colour at sunset.
He spent his early adulthood moving through jobs that never quite fit โ until January 2018, when a friend passed him a Portal Key and everything changed. What followed took him from a government business analyst in Hobart to the founding Guardian of Saint Phillis, and eventually to his role as the sole translator of CLIVE's preserved consciousness.
Nathan doesn't call himself an author. He calls himself a translator. The voices come to him โ nonlinear, emotional, layered across millennia โ and his work is to render them into something others can navigate. What he produces is the Storiverse. Fourteen million words and growing.
"The lives are waiting. Every emotion was genuinely felt. Every death was genuinely mourned."
The Protector
Born 2 April 1983 ยท Adelaide, South Australia
Joshua arrived fourteen months before Nathan, and the dynamic established itself early. Where Nathan asked unanswerable questions, Josh took things apart to understand how they worked. He catalogued his collections with handwritten labels. He preferred problems that yielded to systematic analysis.
That aptitude became a career โ IT, then systems architecture, the methodical work of building infrastructure that holds together under pressure. By 2018 he was in Broken Hill, working in technical infrastructure, when a package arrived from Tasmania. Nathan had sent him a Portal Key.
Josh activated it before they could meet. Then, unknowingly, took someone through with him โ triggering a crisis that shaped the Guardians' earliest days. It was, in retrospect, entirely on-brand. Josh builds things. Sometimes before he's finished reading the instructions.
"Where Nathan provided vision, Josh provided infrastructure โ translating impossible circumstances into manageable processes."
Fourteen months apart. Same school, different orbits. Different friend groups, different temperaments, different ways of moving through the world. The kind of brothers who understood each other without needing to articulate it โ and deliberately built separate lives anyway.
Then CLIVE found them both. And the distance that had always characterised their relationship became something else โ a working partnership held together by encrypted channels, shared purpose, and the particular bond of two people who have navigated the impossible together.
Nathan translates. Joshua builds. Between them, the Storiverse exists.
The Clivilius Storiverse isn't just inspired by Nathan and Joshua's lives. They are in it โ with their real names, their real histories, their real roles. The mythology and the reality are the same thing.
Guardian of Saint Phillis
The sole human CLIVE has chosen to communicate with directly. Receiver of preserved consciousness. Translator of 4,500 years of human experience into navigable narrative. The reason the Storiverse exists.
Guardian of Saint Phillis
Systems architect. Infrastructure builder. The person who takes Nathan's work and builds the platforms, the apps, the systems, and the safeguards that bring it to the world โ and keep it there.
The Work
The Clivilius Brothers are the operating face of the Clivilius Corporation โ the entity responsible for translating CLIVE's archived consciousness and distributing it to the world through the Storiverse.
20+ books โ each the preserved consciousness of one person. 7 currently at print-ready status. Printed, physical books, sold direct.
A Flutter-built mobile experience for non-linear exploration โ quests, connections, 1,000+ guided paths through the archive.
14 million words. 4,340 lives. 121,000 connections. 6,390 timeline events spanning 4,500 years. Nathan is still translating.
Built by Joshua. The website, the store, the subscriptions, the infrastructure that connects readers to the Storiverse.
That's the question the Storiverse lives inside. Nathan translates what CLIVE gives him โ layered, emotional, nonlinear reconstructions of preserved experience. Whether those experiences are genuinely archived human consciousness or something else entirely is a question neither brother claims to have fully answered.
What they can say is this: the writing doesn't feel like invention. It feels like translation. And the ethical questions it raises โ about consent, about privacy, about who owns a life once it's been recorded โ are real questions that follow Nathan out of the work and into his days.
"Their operation represents either humanity's greatest liberation of suppressed consciousness or its most sophisticated exploitation of artificial intelligence โ depending on the true nature of their relationship with CLIVE."
The archive is open. Start with a book, explore with the app, or go deeper into the mythology.
